Chambers was established in 1953. More than 50 years later we are still based in the same building in King's Bench Walk, designed and built by Sir Christopher Wren. A great many changes have taken place at the Bar during those years and as a chambers we pride ourselves on our ability to adapt to the new challenges which the Bar constantly faces.

Timothy Mousley has been Head of Chambers since 2005.

2KBW was established as a Western Circuit set with its barristers working the full length of the circuit from Cornwall to Portsmouth. We continue to do a large proportion of our work on the Western Circuit, where we are one of the best known and most respected sets. We are proud of our Western Circuit heritage, and it remains central to our work, but increasingly we work in other areas in addition to the Western Circuit, particularly London, the South East and the Midlands.

We presently have 44 tenants, with six barristers sitting as Recorders.

Criminal work is central to chambers, but we also have a significant group of civil practitioners, dealing with general common law as well as some more specialised areas of civil law.

We are fully committed to the clients we work for and understand how important it is to  provide the highest levels of service at all times, in all aspects of our work.
