Jeremy’s practice encompasses serious crime, general common law and family work. He has a reputation for his calm handling of cases, and measured advocacy.

He has been a Recorder since 1994 and sits in civil and family matters as well as criminal trials.

His criminal work covers all areas of crime, including serious sexual offences, drugs, violence, homicide and dishonesty. Most recently he has been dealing with a £2.5k million fraud case (as a Leading Junior) involving (i.e.) foreign evidence and money laundering; a "shaken baby" case with 14 expert medical witnesses; a number of serious sexual matters; and conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

In civil jurisdictions he has been involved in personal injury, industrial accidents and civil liberty cases, particularly in civil actions involving the Police.

In family work his particular interest is in private childcare cases and the spinoff from criminal cases involving child abuse.

His present caseload includes a substantial professional fraud, sexual abuse of step-children, and family cases involving long contested residence and contact.
