Jonathan is now practising at the Paris Bar.

He spent his pupillage with the CPS on the Western Circuit before moving to CPS London.  Whilst with the CPS he had a varied and busy practice, advising the police in relation to firearms, drugs, indecent images and financial crime/mortgage fraud.  Prosecuting in the Magistrates' Court on a daily basis, across the full range of offences.

He regularly dealt with technical experts on matters such as indecent images. He had considerable involvement with covert operations and PII issues.  He dealt with the extradition of defendants from Europe managed liaison with South American Authorities in drug importation cases.

Awarded a Pegasus Scholarship he went on an exchange with the Paris Bar, where he spent time doing high profile white-collar crime/fraud and defamation.

Jonathan moved to practise at the Paris Bar in April 2010 with Gide Loyrette Nouel.

He is now being led on substantial international arbitrations, involving large coporate clients in disputes over joint ventures, licensing agreements and infrastructure projects.  Conflict of laws and jursidictional issues are common as are enforcement issues.  His practice covers all the major global arbitration centres and may national courts, where he liaises with the local Bar as necessary.

He is also beginning to develop his own practice in related areas (e.g. fraud, commercial disputes, and related white-collar crime).  There is a strong international element to Jonathan's practice, including European law, competition regulations, cross-border enforcement, etc.

Jonathan is a fluent French speaker and he regularly provides general advice to expat clients.
