Rachael practices exclusively in crime and has a busy Crown Court practice which encompasses a broad spectrum of criminal work.  She is regularly instructed to defend in serious and complex cases, which include offences of serious violence (including those involving firearms and knives), robbery, arson, fraud, dishonesty, drug offences and all types of sexual offences(including rape and those involving children and which require the cross-examination of very young and vulnerable witnesses).

Rachael has also appeared as junior counsel for the defence in a number of cases including for offences of murder,fraud, serious violence and possession of firearms.

She is also experienced in dealing with clients with mental health issues and of cases involving issues of fitness to plead and the defence of insanity.

Although predominantly appearing in the Crown Court Rachael is also instructed in serious trials before the Magistrates' and Youth Courts.

Direct Access - As well as working conventionally as instructed by a solicitor, Rachael is also authorised to accept work directly from a member of the public or any organisation.
