William Mousley is a criminal practitioner, specialising in homicide, road death, serious sexual assault, serious violence, fraud, and drug importation and supply, including confiscation.  He practises predominantly on the Western Circuit and mostly in Hampshire and Dorset.  He prosecutes and defends in equal measure.  Instructed as a Leading Junior in several cases.

• 1. R v C and others (Operation Cobalt), Bournemouth CC, 09/09 -05/10 - Leading Junior in prosecution of paedophile ring for offences spanning 15 years. 8 week trial - convictions in all cases.
• 2. R v L, Southampton CC 03/09 - 06/09 - Prosecution of doorman for breaking neck of student paralysing him in unlawful ejection, 4 week trial - conviction.
• 3. R v B, Portsmouth CC, 11/09 - 05/10 - Prosecution of retired police officer for theft and fraud to value of £150,000 on aunt suffering from dementia, 4 week trial - conviction.
• 4. R v M, Winchester CC, 08/09 - 2/10 - Junior (led by QC) defence of Royal Marine charged jointly with murder of naval rating, 5 week trial - Acquitted.
• 5. R v L, Exeter CC, 06/09 - 10/09 - Prosecution of serving police officer for rape and misfeasance on duty, 2 week trial - convictions in part.
• 6. R v A and other (Operation Maldive) 01/08 - 05/08 - Leading Junior in prosecution of 4 drug gangs supplying Class A drugs, 4 indictments, mixture of guilty pleas and 3 week trial spread over several months and including prosecutor's appeal of terminating ruling to Court of Appeal - convictions in all cases.
• 7. R v M, Portsmouth CC 09/08 -01/10 - Defence of 65 year old man of good character for causing death by dangerous driving based on his failing eyesight, 7 day trial - acquittal.
• 8. R v L, Newport Isle of Wight CC, 09/09 - Defence of retired police officer for historic rapes and serious sexual assault on step-daughters, 2 week trial - acquittal.
• 9. R v H, Winchester CC, 07/09 - Prosecution of 18 year old inexperienced driver for causing death by dangerous driving. Deceased not wearing seat belt, 4 day trial.
• 10. R v M Dorchester CC 09/09 - Prosecution of man for systematic abuse of his step-daughter in the UK and in France over a lengthy period, 2 week trial.
• 11. R v L, Portsmouth CC 09/09 - Prosecution of sexual assault on person lacking capacity to consent by man of good character, 4 day trial, conviction.
• 12. R v HL, Taunton CC, 02/10 Defence in violent knife-point rape and associated rape and sexual assault in presence of young child, 5 day trial.
• 13. R v MM, Portsmouth CC, 12/09 - Defence in multi-million pound drug importation, Spanish client, 2 week trial acquittal.
